Parent-Tot Lessons
This class is designed for children ages 2–4, with a parent or caregiver in the water for support. It’s the perfect introduction to swimming, focused on building confidence, comfort, and excitement in the water.
Through playful, guided activities, students learn foundational skills like moving along the wall, safe entry and exit, and early swim and breathing techniques. We also introduce backstroke basics, helping little swimmers get comfortable floating, kicking, and moving independently.
We create a calm, encouraging experience that helps children feel secure while learning essential lifelong water skills.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are 30-minute sessions designed to meet each swimmer exactly where they are, whether they’re just starting out or building on existing skills.
Each lesson focuses on developing confidence, safety, and strong technique, with the goal of preparing students for a lifetime of swimming. Instruction is personalized, and the level of difficulty increases as the student progresses, ensuring steady growth at a comfortable pace.
Semi-Private Lessons
Semi-private lessons follow the same 30-minute structure, with instruction shared between two children. Each child receives individualized guidance, with time and attention divided evenly to support their development.
Lessons are tailored to each swimmer’s level, and difficulty increases as skills improve, helping both students build confidence and progress at a steady pace.
Working With Infants
Infant Swim Lessons
Infant lessons are designed to help babies feel comfortable, happy, and confident in the water, while strengthening the bond between parent and child. Classes are 20 minutes long, which is the ideal length for this age group, with the option for slightly longer sessions as children grow.
Building Water Confidence
Through playful, familiar songs and gentle guidance, babies are introduced to foundational skills like floating, rolling from front to back, breath control, and safe movement to the wall. Early safety skills include learning to fall in, turn around, and reach for the wall, followed by beginning crab walking along the edge.
What Is Water Adjustment
This stage focuses on water adjustment, helping infants reconnect with the natural buoyancy they are born with. Babies float easily, but learning to relax with their ears in the water can take time. Techniques like guided movement, repetition, and songs such as “Motorboat” help create comfort and reduce fear.
Parent Involvement
Parents play an active role in every lesson. Wearing a rash guard or T-shirt allows children to hold on as they explore movement and balance in the water. Tools like wetsuits, swim caps, and water shoes can support warmth, comfort, and buoyancy during this stage.
Practice Outside of Class
Play continues outside of class as well. Simple routines like gently pouring water over your child’s head in the bath or shower, encouraging them to wipe their own face, and spending relaxed time in the pool all help build confidence and breath control.
How Infants Learn to Swim
Infants will not swim in a traditional sense just yet. They move more like little tadpoles, learning to glide, roll, and orient themselves in the water. Over time, these early experiences build the foundation for true swimming skills.
A Focus on Fun and Safety
Above all, the focus is on learning through play. When children feel safe, supported, and happy, progress comes naturally.
Giving your child swim lessons is one of the most important steps you can take for water safety and one of the most meaningful experiences you can share together.
